CoworkRestore runs locally on your Mac. Snapshots of your project folders never leave your machine - we have no cloud where they could land. We don't use cookies on the website. In-app analytics are anonymous and you can switch them off in the app's settings.
The website at coworkrestore.com is hosted on Cloudflare. We don't set cookies and we don't run advertising trackers. Aggregate, non-identifying traffic stats (page views, country, referrer) are gathered without setting tracking cookies. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) are retained briefly for abuse and performance debugging.
Snapshots created by CoworkRestore are stored on your Mac - by default inside the project folder, or in a location you choose. They are never uploaded to us or to any cloud service operated by Ongoing Things. We don't see your files, folder names, or snapshot contents.
CoworkRestore sends anonymised usage and crash diagnostics - macOS version, hardware model, app version, anonymous event counts, and stack traces when something crashes. Reports never include file contents, folder names, or snapshot data, and they are not tied to your licence or email. You can switch analytics off at any time in the app's settings.
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They collect your name, email, billing address, and payment details, and pass us the minimum we need to issue a licence key, send a receipt, and process a refund. We don't store your card details.
The app periodically checks our server for new versions. Each check is a single anonymous HTTPS request. We don't log IP addresses for update checks beyond the standard server logs noted above.
Licence holders receive transactional emails (receipts, licence key delivery, security notices) and the very occasional product update. You can unsubscribe from the latter at any time.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of the personal data we hold - typically your name and email, plus licence and purchase records. EU/UK residents may also restrict or object to certain processing; California residents may request disclosure or deletion. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we'll reply within a month. We do not sell personal data. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and announce material changes inside the app.
